My work dances at the intersection of empathy and humor, melancholy and joy. Noodlecat allows me to express myself without judgment, to live authentically, joyfully, and freely, and I hope it does that for you, too. I want those who feel burdened or heavy to experience lightness, if only for a moment, through my illustrations and products.
I started Noodlecat Studio on Etsy because I had lost my job as a result of the pandemic and was looking for a way to keep myself occupied. Throughout this difficult time, I came to many self-realizations. I realized I am neurodivergent. I accepted myself as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community (I'm pan and nonbinary). And I realized that illustration can actually help people in a direct way through activism and giving back.
My main goal is to make people smile through my clothing and illustrations. I want people to experience joy and lightness in a world that can sometimes be so dark.
